2010 OAKVILLE TREK OR TREAT Race Details

NOTES:

Free Pumpkin to the first 100 registered runners.

Lighting: All racers must bring a flashlight or headlamp.  Princeton Tec Headlamps can be rented from the race for $10.  There is a limited supply and reservations must be received in advance.  Click here to reserve a headlamp.

Directions:

From the EAST:

401 west to Trafalgar.  Trafalgar south to Dundas.  Dundas west to Fourth lIne.  SVCC entrance is 200 metres past fourth line.

QEW west to Third Line.  Third line North to Dundas. Dundas east to SVCC.  SVCC entrance is 500 metres east of 3^rd Line.

From the WEST:

410 East to hwy 25.  Hwy 25 (Bronte Rd) to Dundas. Dundas East to 500 metres west of Lions Valley Park Road turn right into SVCC.

QEW East to 3^rd line.  North on 3^rd Line to Dundas.  East on Dundas.  SVCC is located on the right approx. 500 metres east of 3^rd line.

Check-in:

October 15th, 2010 (race day)

5:00pm-7:45pm at the main building, just past the main gate entrance.

Start Time:

7:20 pm "Creepy Mile"

8:00 pm  5km

8:10 pm 10km

Distance:

10 km  Run 5 km Run / Walk Creepy Mile 1.6 km

Terrain:

The trails are graded crushed gravel.  There will be approximately 1km of pavement in the 10km course and 700 metres of pavement in the 5km course.

Elevation:

10 km:  There are two significant hills
5 km: There is no significant elevation change.

Aid Stations:

2 (one at Start/Finish area and one on the 10km course.

Washrooms:

There are full indoor facilities located at start/finish area

Parking:

Parking near Start / Finish area.  There will be overflow parking located at the back of the SVCC site.  Parking attendants will guide you to a parking area.

First Aid:

Start/Finish area. Attendants on the course with radio communication and first aid.

Spectators are welcome: best viewing from Start/Finish area.

Awards/Prizes:

Following completion of all competitors. (Approximately 9:30pm). Awards will be in the following categories: 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, over 60. There will be a prize for best costume.

There will be a prize for best haunter on course.

Online: Midnight October 14th 2010. Maximum racers 800

Race day registration: closes at 7:15 pm at start/finish area.  Note: There will be no race day registration if the race has reached 800 participants before October 15th.
